They Swarm In
Two weeks ago I checked my one hive and found the bee population had reduced by a third. Then early this past week a swarm moved into a box I had in the wood shed.
Here is a closer look at them entering. A few minutes later I added another box. Below is a video I took as the began to swarm in. I'm not sure if they are from the other hive and if they are, where they have been for a week.
I am re-thinking my opinion on the subject of bees. They really are fascinating. Of course I know they make honey, which I like very much. It is still scary for me to see the swarm...they seem so powerful when there are so many of them.
You have piqued my interest Mr. Beekeeper Think I'll head for the library tomorrow
I keep honeybees, and thoroughly enjoy tending them, my gardens and orchard.I am married to KathyB. and have 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. I also love to cook, entertain, and study theology.
Your videos are gorgeous, just gorgeous. I loved watching the bees swarming and the ducks bathing. :) Thank you so much.

Your post and video were so interesting! I don't know much about bees, but I am learning!
